Having worked in the fashion industry where she observed first-hand the waste that was generated with alarming consequences for the environment, Ayushi Gupta was determined to find an alternative - one that was gentle on nature yet vibrant in its expression. She found her calling in eco-printing, the technique of using leaves, flowers, and other organic materials to transfer their colour and patterns onto fabrics. With her brand Ecoshi, she works with cotton-based fabrics and silk to create a range of eco-printed journals, stoles and scarfs, and hair accessories.
